Your relationship with Jesus just begins with salvation.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   THURSDAY APRIL 27, 2006
(Luke 19:17, Revelation 2:10, 1 Samuel 12:24, 26:23,
2 Chronicles 19:9, 1 Peter 4:10)

Being faithful.  Between the news, what happens in my
life on any given day, the issues I read about in the
lives of those we minister to, a "to do" folder with
hundreds of Devotional topics and always 30-40
Devotionals that are in various stages of completion,
I could continue to write the Daily Devotional every day
as long as God gives me breath or until Jesus returns.
However, today I want to share with you what is perhaps
the most important thing a follower of Jesus Christ can
do each day, and that is being faithful.

I had been serving the Lord full time for over 9 years
before Liveprayer began.  As I look back over these past
80 months, without a doubt the most important lesson I
have learned is to be faithful.  Now, that may sound
very basic to you, and it is.  However, knowing to be
faithful and BEING FAITHFUL are two different things. 
During those first 9 years I KNEW to be faithful and
believe in my heart for the most part I was.  These past
80 months I HAVE been faithful, largely because it was
the one thing that I had control over and was able to do. 
I have learned the hard lesson that if nothing else, no
matter what life may throw at us, we can be faithful to
the Lord.

This word today is perhaps one of the most profound
things I will ever teach you so please, open your heart
and receive this.  It doesn't matter where you are in
your journey with Christ, whether you got saved 5
minutes ago or you have been walking with the Lord for
80 years, whether you are still looking for some way to
serve God or have been faithfully serving the Lord for
many decades, this message is applicable and relevant to
YOUR LIFE TODAY!

You see, every child of God, every person who has accepted
Christ into their hearts and lives by faith, has the same
general purpose of serving and glorifying God with their
life.  Everyone has been called to do that in different
ways, but all of God's children have the same general
purpose.  We are here to serve Him and bring glory to His
name through our daily lives.  The greatest way we can
accomplish that is by being faithful to whatever it is God
has called us to do that day.

I get people asking me every day what great things they
can do for God and I tell them that the greatest thing
they can do for God is to be faithful to whatever it is
God has called them to do that day.  Nothing impresses
God more than our faithfulness.  We can talk about loving
God, but we prove we love God by being faithful.  As the
old saying goes, "talk is cheap, actions speak louder
than words."  God is not interested in our words as much
as He is in our ACTIONS!

Again, I believe in my heart that those first 9 years in
the ministry I was being faithful, but during these past
80 months I KNOW I have been faithful.  Like most things,
I learned how to be faithful by being in the fire.  Prior
to Liveprayer, I never owned a computer, never sent an
email, and to be honest never wanted to either!  I was one
generation above the computer age and was very happy to
not have that as part of my life.  Looking back, it is
no wonder why God called me into this ministry since
anyone who knew about computers would have thought it was
impossible to do what Liveprayer has done.  In the natural
it was, I was just too ignorant to know it at the time and
allowed God to be glorified since we know NOTHING IS
IMPOSSIBLE WITH HIM!

I have kept fairly comprehensive notes on the nearly 7
years of Liveprayer.  Other than God and my wife, nobody
would ever believe what has happened or what goes on
behind the scenes that people never see to make
Liveprayer possible each and every day for so many lost
and hurting people all over the world.  I thought I had
faith, but I didn't know what faith was until Liveprayer. 
I thought I was being faithful to God, but I learned how
to really be faithful during these years of Liveprayer.

Between the technical challenges to do live-streaming
video 24/7, something at the time and still today is
really only done by the pornographers, sending out a few
Daily Devotionals by email that is now over 2 million
daily, the free LPeMail service, the daily hack attempts
by people trying to shut Liveprayer down, and all that
goes into keeping this massive technical system up and
operational 24/7, to the ministry challenges of writing a
theologically sound, interesting, challenging, and
inspirational "word" every day that will minister to the
reader, sending personal answers to over 40,000 incoming
prayer requests daily, encouraging the lost to come to
faith in Christ and those who know the Lord to live a
committed life, to do what nobody else is doing by having
a "live" TV program on major network stations for an hour
a night, 5 nights a week and all that entails, to the
never-ending challenges of raising the finances without
falling into the traps, games, merchandising, and
manipulation so many use to survive....Liveprayer has
been and still is literally a 24/7 walk of faith so far
above my ability to comprehend or control.

The one thing that I could understand and the one thing
I could control was being faithful!  That starts with
getting up.  Yes, I said getting up.  How many days did I
want to simply stay in bed, forget whatever the problems
were and just sleep.  Being faithful starts with
something as basic as getting out of bed!  I can't tell
you how many days over these past 80 months I have shown
up at my office, put the key in the door, and prayed as I
turned that key that God would give me the strength to do
what I was I supposed to do that day and surrendered all
the rest to Him.  After that, it was simply a matter of
being faithful and doing the things that I needed to get
done that day.

I love you and care about you so much.  I know many of
you are struggling today with the problems of life.  My
word for you is to BE FAITHFUL.  As you are faithful in
being about the Father's business, He will be faithful
in being about your business.  God knows your hurts, and
your pains, and your needs.  He has promised to never
leave you nor forsake you.  Be faithful in doing the
things that you have been called to do and know that the
Lord will take care of the rest.  Don't allow the enemy
to distract you and paralyze you over things you can't
control, since that keeps you from doing the things that
you can control.

I will be praying for you today.  I will be praying for
you and your family and the needs you have in your life
today.  However, I will be praying especially for you to
hear this message today about being faithful.  No matter
what is going on in your life, the one thing that you CAN
do, is be faithful.  Be faithful to pray.  Be faithful to
trust the Lord for whatever your needs are.  Be faithful
to live your life in a way that is pleasing and acceptable
to God.  Be faithful to serve the Lord in whatever way you
have been called to serve.  God loves you so much and you
can show how much you love Him by being faithful.

When your life is over and you stand before God, there is
only one thing the child of God should desire to hear,
and that is "well done thou good and FAITHFUL servant!" 
AMEN!!!

Monitor and Protect Your Children from Internet Crime and Sin

Many parents feel like the Internet is only used for
homework and games ... and that filters work.  But
youngsters are smart and can get around filters.  Here's
a better solution.

***THIS IS A MUST READ FOR EVERY PARENT!  THE POTENTIALLY
MOST DESTRUCTIVE AND HARMFUL THING TO YOUR CHILD IS IN
YOUR HOME RIGHT NOW...THE COMPUTER.  PLEASE STOP WHAT YOU
ARE DOING AND PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THIS MESSAGE
THAT COULD LITERALLY SAVE YOUR CHILD'S LIFE!!!

How the Internet can destroy your child.  A hammer is a
tool designed to perform a certain job.  There is nothing
evil about a hammer.  However, some may choose to use a
hammer in a perverted way.  This does not mean that
hammers are bad, or you should never own a hammer, it
simply means that you should be aware of how this tool can
be misused.  The same is true about the Internet.  It is a
tool designed to perform a specific job.  There is nothing
evil about the Internet, though some have chosen to use it
in an evil way.  This does not mean you should not have
the Internet, only that you need to be aware of its
dangers, especially when it comes to your children.

The Internet is NOT a cyber babysitter and any parent who
treats it as such might as well drop their children off
at the local adult bookstore, the hang-out of a local
street gang, in the middle of a busy freeway at rush hour,
a casino in Vegas, or the child sex offender unit at some
prison.  I am always amused at parents who will spend
thousands to have the best locks and security systems in
their homes to protect their children from the dangers of
the world, yet through high-speed modems give their child
access to the world with a few keystrokes, and worst of
all, give ANYONE IN THE WORLD ON A COMPUTER access to
their children!

For you moms and dads out there, it is IMPERATIVE that you
not only monitor, but KNOW what your child is doing online. 
Forget filters, a 7-year-old can get around most filters. 
You need to invest $50-$60 in the monitoring software that
currently exists which literally tracks every website,
every email, every instant message, and every keystroke
your child makes while online.  You need to sit down with
them and let them know that you have this software
installed and why.  This is about their protection and
insuring they don't fall into the many traps and pitfalls
of the Internet.

As a side, I wonder how many adults would be willing to
have this software on their computer for their spouse to
monitor?  Not trying to start trouble, just asking a
question.  I have dealt in the past about the dangers of
the Internet for adults and will continue to sound that
trumpet of warning in the future.

Every single day, I get several thousand emails from
parents about their children and the Internet.  Teenage
boys and girls and even children as young as 12 who are
in bondage to Internet porn.  Kids who steal their
parents' credit cards to gamble online.  Children from
14 and up who meet adults in chatrooms or message boards
and end up meeting them for real.  Kids who are lured to
websites that explore the darkest and most evil things
you can imagine.  Personals' sites like MySpace where
kids can create their own websites and blogs.

THE DAMAGED AND DESTROYED LIVES OF CHILDREN BY THE
INTERNET IS NOT JUST A FEW ISOLATED CASES BUT AN
EPIDEMIC THAT SOCIETY HAS REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE OR
ADDRESS!  IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOUR CHILD!!!

Listen, at some point you do have to trust your child. 
When they leave home, at that point you need to trust
that spiritual foundation you have laid in their life,
pray for them, and commit them into the Lord's hands.
However, as long as they live under your roof you have
every right and responsibility to watch over them and
protect them, and that includes monitoring their Internet
use.  By the way, if you have a 22-year-old son who
doesn't like his mom and dad knowing everything he does
on the Internet, maybe he should start thinking about
growing up and getting out on his own.

*As a parent, you MUST not only protect your children as
long as they are under your care, but insure your home is
not being defiled with the filth and garbage that is
available 24/7 on the Internet.

So what do you do?  First, pray.  Pray for God to protect
your child from the dangers that exist on the Internet. 
Second, do some homework and purchase and install
monitoring software that will allow you to monitor all
of your child's activity on the computer.  Third, sit
down with your child and not only explain to them about
the monitoring software you have installed, but why. 
This is the time to have a real, open and honest
discussion with your child about the Internet and all of
the dangers that exist.

THIS IS NOT PARANOIA!  The dangers that exist are very
real.  Porn, gambling, and other destructive websites DO
NOT CARE that it is your child they are trying to lure to
their site.  Internet predators are very sophisticated in
how to gain your child's trust and confidence so they can
exploit them for their own personal satisfaction.  There
are literally hundreds of thousands of websites that can
be accessed with simple search commands which deal with
every perversion the human mind has imagined. Chatrooms,
message boards, and personals' sites like MySpace give
your children access to other children and adults who can
introduce your child to every evil and darkness that
exists in this world.

THIS IS NOT PARANOIA!  THE DANGERS THAT EXIST ON THE
INTERNET ARE VERY REAL AND YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT AND THE
GOD-GIVEN RESPONSIBILITY TO PROTECT YOUR CHILD!!!

I love you and care about you so much.  The Internet is
part of our world and is here to stay.  It is a tool for
children and adults to use to get information and used
correctly can be a great resource.  Every day for nearly
7 years now, Liveprayer has used the Internet to reach
millions of people all over the world with the Truth and
God's Word and the hope and love of Jesus Christ.  Because
of the Internet, we have seen over 120,000 souls we know
of come to faith in the Lord.  So it has many great and
wonderful applications.

Like everything, it can also be used in a negative and
destructive way.  Parents simply need to be aware of the
incredible dangers that exist on the Internet so they can
take the steps necessary to insure their children are
safe.  The Internet is another opportunity for parents to
talk to their children openly and honestly about many of
the issues they will face in life.  It is these
opportunities a parent needs to take advantage of to
teach their children what God says about these issues and
why God's way works.  This is all part of that building
process so that when your child eventually does leave home
and is making choices without you, they can make wise and
Godly choices, not based on the momentary desires of their
flesh, but on what God's Word says.

I will be praying for you today as God speaks to you about
this issue.  This is not something to put off for a few
months, but an issue that needs to be addressed TODAY! 
Even as you read these words, you have no idea who your
child is speaking to over the Internet, what types of
personals' sites your child may have, or what websites
your child frequents.  I believe in my heart that this
message is going to literally save the lives of many
children.  I tell you often that your children are the
greatest ministry you will ever have.

I am praying for every mother and father as they take
control over this potential danger in their home and
child's life.  May God give you wisdom and guide you in
protecting your children from the dangers of the Internet.
I also pray for those children who have already been
damaged by the Internet.  May the Lord bring healing to
their lives.  The Internet is a wonderful tool that can
be a blessing or a curse.  I pray today that for you
and your family it is a blessing!

Be Faithful to Jesus

Good morning, Happy Souls!

I was speaking with a spiritual leader recently who
proclaimed that it doesn't matter what the Bible says:
We have to update our beliefs to fit the times.

Is that what Jesus would do?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   MONDAY APRIL 24, 2006
( John 6:68, 69 )

"Simon Peter answered him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You
have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that
you are the Holy One of God.' " (John 6:68,69)

Quitting, giving up, turning back IS NOT AN OPTION!  Have
you ever come to a place where you were tired of fighting
life's battles, things weren't working out the way you had
hoped or expected and you simply said "this Jesus thing
just isn't working."  How about coming to that place where
you heard what God said on a specific subject and decided
that you didn't agree with Him and made the choice to
reject God and do it your way.  Has there ever been a time
when you wanted to quit following Christ and go back to
your old life?

The reality is, this is the exact place MANY come to at
some point in their journey with the Lord.  Based on the
emails I get each day, I know there are people reading
these words this very moment that are at that EXACT
place.  Each week we add apx.. 8,000 new subscribers to
the Daily Devotional.  Each week we also see apx 4,000
leave the Daily Devotional.  In well over 80% of the
cases where people unsubscribe, they tell me they don't
agree with what God's Word says on issues like faith in
Christ being the ONLY way to be saved, the sin of
homosexuality, that abortion is murder, that all sex
outside of marriage is a sin, that living together
without being married is not God's plan, and any other
issue you can name.  They make the choice to quit
following Jesus.

(Note:  This is the exact reason so many pastors refuse
to deal with the critical issues of life.  They don't want
to "offend" anyone for fear of losing people in their
church and money in their treasury.  So they compromise
and stay away from the real issues of life and preach a
"feel good," watered down Gospel, being careful to never
talk bout sin.  This "positive mental attitude Gospel"
sounds nice but unless a person accepts the fact they are
a sinner, the Holy Spirit convicts them of their sin,
they repent and ask the Lord to forgive them, and then
invite Him into their heart and life by faith, they are
being duped into believing they are going to heaven by
gutless pastors who are more worried about the applause
( and $$$) of men than the applause of God!)

In today's anchor verses from the 6th Chapter of John's
Gospel, we have the Biblical account of people who were
following Jesus, but after hearing Him preach on an
issue they didn't agree with, "many of his disciples
turned back and no longer followed Him."  In the Book of
Acts we hear of a man who was part of Paul's ministry
named Demas (Colossians 4:14).  We hear of Demas again in
2 Timothy 4 when Paul states, "For Demas, because he
loved this world, has deserted me."  I remember many
years ago preaching a message on Demas and in preparing
that message, literally breaking down in tears reading
that verse in 2 Timothy 4 about Demas turning his back on
the Lord's work to go back into the world.  How sad for
someone to come to the place, for whatever reason, that
they quit Jesus.

*Sadly, every day many pastors and people who are in full-
time service to the Lord make the decision to leave the
ministry.  This is a HUGE issue that is rarely talked
about or discussed.  I will address is soon.

This, of course, brings into play the great theological
debate regarding eternal security.  I am not going to go
into depth on this issue today, though I will soon to
help those who may be confused about what God's Word
teaches regarding if it is possible for someone to lose
their salvation.  You are free to believe whatever you
want about this issue, but the Bible is clear that if
you are truly saved by faith in Christ you will always be
saved.  Choosing to turn your back on the Lord ruins your
joy, robs you of your peace, and causes you to miss the
abundance of this life, but you don't lose your salvation.
Salvation is a product of your faith in Jesus and God's
grace, period.  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God
withdraws His grace, which by definition is His unmerited
favor, or something you did nothing to earn in the first
place.  The real key to this issue, something only God
knows for certain, is did the person really accept the
Lord into their heart and life by faith to begin with.

The thing I have always loved about Peter was that he was
a very bottom line kind of guy.  He was never shy about
stating his opinion, and more often than not that opinion
was inspired by God Himself.  Here again we see Peter rise
to the occasion when Jesus asked the 12 disciples if they
too were going to leave.  Peter boldly proclaimed, "To
whom shall we go?"  For those of you today who are
discouraged, thinking about quitting, giving up, turning
back, let me ask you the same question Peter did, WHERE
ARE YOU GOING TO GO?

I love you and care about you so much.  You really only
have two options, you stick it out with Jesus or you go to
satan.  There is no other choice.  You either follow Jesus
or you follow satan.  Satan is a liar and his goal is to
kill, steal, and destroy.  By following satan you will
spend all eternity in the Lake of Fire, a place specially
created by God for satan and his fallen angels.  God is
Truth.  God wants you to know His peace and joy and the
abundance of this life.  He loves you unconditionally.  He
sent Jesus to die for your sins so that you could spend
all eternity with Him. As Peter correctly told Jesus, "You
have the words of eternal life."

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that the next
time you get discouraged, the next time you get weary
from fighting life's battles, the next time you start
thinking how things aren't working out the way you
hoped in your life, you will remember the words of Peter,
WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GO?  The only place to go is to
satan.  Do you really want to go back to the way your life
used to be before you started to follow Jesus?  My friend,
the Lord is your only real hope and your only real answer
for this life and all eternity.  The trials and
tribulations we face are all part of living in this fallen
world infested by sin.  But take comfort today from the
words of Jesus when He told his disciples just hours
before gong to the cross, "Be of good cheer, for I have
overcome this world!"

Even though we don't have the details, I proffer that one
reason Demas turned back to the world and quit serving
the Lord was the attacks that come when you sell out your
very life to serve and follow Jesus.  I told you late
last year when I shared with you the news of the
Liveprayer TV program going nationwide that the attacks
would be at a magnitude like never before.  The temptation
to quit, to give up, to stop following the Lord, all stem
from just wanting some peace from the never-ending attacks
at every level.  However, at some point you have to decide
no matter what, you are going to serve and follow the Lord,
even unto death!  Trust me, many days death would actually
be easier since that means the battles of this life would
be over.

We are into the countdown of the last 70 days until the
Liveprayer TV program goes nationwide.  Satan has come
after me hard on many personal fronts these past 60 days
and I have no doubt they will continue.  He has come
hard after my wife.  Thank you for your prayers, they
mean so much.  We will be setting aside the entire month
of June for prayer and fasting.  Satan knows that there
is NOTHING he can do to stop me.  His attacks only make
me more resolved in the work God has called me to do and
I know He is watching over me and will protect me.

The battle lines, however, have finally been drawn around
one area.....MONEY.  Satan knows that the magnitude of
what we are going to do is something that I can't do
alone.  His only hope in stopping this from becoming a
reality is to attack those who God is calling to help me
financially.

Some people may say, "Who cares if this TV program goes
nationwide or not."  That is a fair question.  Two who
clearly care are God and satan.  God, because He knows
that this instrument can bring thousands, even millions
to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ while bringing
Biblical Truth into the marketplace, and satan, who will
do everything he can to stop a vehicle that has the
audacity to confront him on his turf and expose his lies
to the masses, while literally taking souls heading for
hell on a conveyor belt and rerouting them to Heaven!
This my friend is clearly a battle for the eternal souls
of men.

The only Christian programming that exists are those on
Christian stations and networks where 99% of the audience
are already Christian.  A very few take their typical
preaching/teaching program they air on the Christian
stations and networks and play these pre-recorded tapes
on some secular stations on Sunday morning.  There is NO
"live" daily program on secular television to combat the
false hope merchants like Oprah and Dr. Phil and all the
garbage the secular networks air 24/7.  Nothing that
without compromise sharing Biblical Truth and without
shame telling people that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way.
We have proved in over 3 years that we can compete with
the major network programs, attract primarily viewers who
are not Christians, and bring the Truth of God's Word and
the hope and love of Christ to the lost and hurting masses.

We took a huge step of faith over 3 years ago in launching
this program on UPN in Tampa, the #12 television market in
the nation.  We took another huge step of faith last July
in expanding the program to ABC in Miami, Jacksonville,
West Palm Beach, PAX in Orlando, and the WB in Ft. Myers.
We are now taking the ultimate step of faith in bringing
this program to the entire nation July 3rd on the PAX
(now called ION) Network.  We will be on "live" from
Midnight to 1 a.m. EST every Monday thru Friday night
taking God's Truth into the marketplace and the hope and
love of Christ to literally millions of people who are
simply looking for answers and hope in their life.

Here is where we are at.  I need your prayers and for you
to seek the Lord about what you can do to help me in the
next 70 days.

If I was interested in raising money as some have accused
me, I would simply go to the Christian stations and
networks with the TV program and preach to the choir and
raise millions in donations like many others do.  I would
sell books and tapes to Christians.  I would rent out
stadiums and get churches to bring buses of people who I
can sell products to and get donations from.  I would
have a nice building, a million dollar home, and a great

Be Faithful to Jesus

Good morning, Happy Souls!

Bill Keller wrote a devotional today that I
recommend to you.  He has given me permission to
copy his e-mails, and I'm sure he would be happy if
you would share this with people you know as well.

I was speaking with a spiritual leader recently who
proclaimed that it doesn't matter what the Bible says:
We have to update our beliefs to fit the times.

Is that what Jesus would do?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   MONDAY APRIL 24, 2006
( John 6:68, 69 )

"Simon Peter answered him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You
have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that
you are the Holy One of God.' " (John 6:68,69)

Quitting, giving up, turning back IS NOT AN OPTION!  Have
you ever come to a place where you were tired of fighting
life's battles, things weren't working out the way you had
hoped or expected and you simply said "this Jesus thing
just isn't working."  How about coming to that place where
you heard what God said on a specific subject and decided
that you didn't agree with Him and made the choice to
reject God and do it your way.  Has there ever been a time
when you wanted to quit following Christ and go back to
your old life?

The reality is, this is the exact place MANY come to at
some point in their journey with the Lord.  Based on the
emails I get each day, I know there are people reading
these words this very moment that are at that EXACT
place.  Each week we add apx.. 8,000 new subscribers to
the Daily Devotional.  Each week we also see apx 4,000
leave the Daily Devotional.  In well over 80% of the
cases where people unsubscribe, they tell me they don't
agree with what God's Word says on issues like faith in
Christ being the ONLY way to be saved, the sin of
homosexuality, that abortion is murder, that all sex
outside of marriage is a sin, that living together
without being married is not God's plan, and any other
issue you can name.  They make the choice to quit
following Jesus.

(Note:  This is the exact reason so many pastors refuse
to deal with the critical issues of life.  They don't want
to "offend" anyone for fear of losing people in their
church and money in their treasury.  So they compromise
and stay away from the real issues of life and preach a
"feel good," watered down Gospel, being careful to never
talk bout sin.  This "positive mental attitude Gospel"
sounds nice but unless a person accepts the fact they are
a sinner, the Holy Spirit convicts them of their sin,
they repent and ask the Lord to forgive them, and then
invite Him into their heart and life by faith, they are
being duped into believing they are going to heaven by
gutless pastors who are more worried about the applause
( and $$$) of men than the applause of God!)

In today's anchor verses from the 6th Chapter of John's
Gospel, we have the Biblical account of people who were
following Jesus, but after hearing Him preach on an
issue they didn't agree with, "many of his disciples
turned back and no longer followed Him."  In the Book of
Acts we hear of a man who was part of Paul's ministry
named Demas (Colossians 4:14).  We hear of Demas again in
2 Timothy 4 when Paul states, "For Demas, because he
loved this world, has deserted me."  I remember many
years ago preaching a message on Demas and in preparing
that message, literally breaking down in tears reading
that verse in 2 Timothy 4 about Demas turning his back on
the Lord's work to go back into the world.  How sad for
someone to come to the place, for whatever reason, that
they quit Jesus.

*Sadly, every day many pastors and people who are in full-
time service to the Lord make the decision to leave the
ministry.  This is a HUGE issue that is rarely talked
about or discussed.  I will address is soon.

This, of course, brings into play the great theological
debate regarding eternal security.  I am not going to go
into depth on this issue today, though I will soon to
help those who may be confused about what God's Word
teaches regarding if it is possible for someone to lose
their salvation.  You are free to believe whatever you
want about this issue, but the Bible is clear that if
you are truly saved by faith in Christ you will always be
saved.  Choosing to turn your back on the Lord ruins your
joy, robs you of your peace, and causes you to miss the
abundance of this life, but you don't lose your salvation.
Salvation is a product of your faith in Jesus and God's
grace, period.  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God
withdraws His grace, which by definition is His unmerited
favor, or something you did nothing to earn in the first
place.  The real key to this issue, something only God
knows for certain, is did the person really accept the
Lord into their heart and life by faith to begin with.

The thing I have always loved about Peter was that he was
a very bottom line kind of guy.  He was never shy about
stating his opinion, and more often than not that opinion
was inspired by God Himself.  Here again we see Peter rise
to the occasion when Jesus asked the 12 disciples if they
too were going to leave.  Peter boldly proclaimed, "To
whom shall we go?"  For those of you today who are
discouraged, thinking about quitting, giving up, turning
back, let me ask you the same question Peter did, WHERE
ARE YOU GOING TO GO?

I love you and care about you so much.  You really only
have two options, you stick it out with Jesus or you go to
satan.  There is no other choice.  You either follow Jesus
or you follow satan.  Satan is a liar and his goal is to
kill, steal, and destroy.  By following satan you will
spend all eternity in the Lake of Fire, a place specially
created by God for satan and his fallen angels.  God is
Truth.  God wants you to know His peace and joy and the
abundance of this life.  He loves you unconditionally.  He
sent Jesus to die for your sins so that you could spend
all eternity with Him. As Peter correctly told Jesus, "You
have the words of eternal life."

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that the next
time you get discouraged, the next time you get weary
from fighting life's battles, the next time you start
thinking how things aren't working out the way you
hoped in your life, you will remember the words of Peter,
WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GO?  The only place to go is to
satan.  Do you really want to go back to the way your life
used to be before you started to follow Jesus?  My friend,
the Lord is your only real hope and your only real answer
for this life and all eternity.  The trials and
tribulations we face are all part of living in this fallen
world infested by sin.  But take comfort today from the
words of Jesus when He told his disciples just hours
before gong to the cross, "Be of good cheer, for I have
overcome this world!"

Even though we don't have the details, I proffer that one
reason Demas turned back to the world and quit serving
the Lord was the attacks that come when you sell out your
very life to serve and follow Jesus.  I told you late
last year when I shared with you the news of the
Liveprayer TV program going nationwide that the attacks
would be at a magnitude like never before.  The temptation
to quit, to give up, to stop following the Lord, all stem
from just wanting some peace from the never-ending attacks
at every level.  However, at some point you have to decide
no matter what, you are going to serve and follow the Lord,
even unto death!  Trust me, many days death would actually
be easier since that means the battles of this life would
be over.

We are into the countdown of the last 70 days until the
Liveprayer TV program goes nationwide.  Satan has come
after me hard on many personal fronts these past 60 days
and I have no doubt they will continue.  He has come
hard after my wife.  Thank you for your prayers, they
mean so much.  We will be setting aside the entire month
of June for prayer and fasting.  Satan knows that there
is NOTHING he can do to stop me.  His attacks only make
me more resolved in the work God has called me to do and
I know He is watching over me and will protect me.

The battle lines, however, have finally been drawn around
one area.....MONEY.  Satan knows that the magnitude of
what we are going to do is something that I can't do
alone.  His only hope in stopping this from becoming a
reality is to attack those who God is calling to help me
financially.

Some people may say, "Who cares if this TV program goes
nationwide or not."  That is a fair question.  Two who
clearly care are God and satan.  God, because He knows
that this instrument can bring thousands, even millions
to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ while bringing
Biblical Truth into the marketplace, and satan, who will
do everything he can to stop a vehicle that has the
audacity to confront him on his turf and expose his lies
to the masses, while literally taking souls heading for
hell on a conveyor belt and rerouting them to Heaven!
This my friend is clearly a battle for the eternal souls
of men.

The only Christian programming that exists are those on
Christian stations and networks where 99% of the audience
are already Christian.  A very few take their typical
preaching/teaching program they air on the Christian
stations and networks and play these pre-recorded tapes
on some secular stations on Sunday morning.  There is NO
"live" daily program on secular television to combat the
false hope merchants like Oprah and Dr. Phil and all the
garbage the secular networks air 24/7.  Nothing that
without compromise sharing Biblical Truth and without
shame telling people that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way.
We have proved in over 3 years that we can compete with
the major network programs, attract primarily viewers who
are not Christians, and bring the Truth of God's Word and
the hope and love of Christ to the lost and hurting masses.

We took a huge step of faith over 3 years ago in launching
this program on UPN in Tampa, the #12 television market in
the nation.  We took another huge step of faith last July
in expanding the program to ABC in Miami, Jacksonville,
West Palm Beach, PAX in Orlando, and the WB in Ft. Myers.
We are now taking the ultimate step of faith in bringing
this program to the entire nation July 3rd on the PAX
(now called ION) Network.  We will be on "live" from
Midnight to 1 a.m. EST every Monday thru Friday night
taking God's Truth into the marketplace and the hope and
love of Christ to literally millions of people who are
simply looking for answers and hope in their life.

Here is where we are at.  I need your prayers and for you
to seek the Lord about what you can do to help me in the
next 70 days.

Be Faithful to Jesus

Good morning, Happy Souls!

Bill Keller wrote a devotional today that I
recommend to you.  He has given me permission to
copy his e-mails, and I'm sure he would be happy if
you would share this with people you know as well.

I was speaking with a spiritual leader recently who
proclaimed that it doesn't matter what the Bible says:
We have to update our beliefs to fit the times.

Is that what Jesus would do?

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   MONDAY APRIL 24, 2006
( John 6:68, 69 )

"Simon Peter answered him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You
have the words of eternal life. We believe and know that
you are the Holy One of God.' " (John 6:68,69)

Quitting, giving up, turning back IS NOT AN OPTION!  Have
you ever come to a place where you were tired of fighting
life's battles, things weren't working out the way you had
hoped or expected and you simply said "this Jesus thing
just isn't working."  How about coming to that place where
you heard what God said on a specific subject and decided
that you didn't agree with Him and made the choice to
reject God and do it your way.  Has there ever been a time
when you wanted to quit following Christ and go back to
your old life?

The reality is, this is the exact place MANY come to at
some point in their journey with the Lord.  Based on the
emails I get each day, I know there are people reading
these words this very moment that are at that EXACT
place.  Each week we add apx.. 8,000 new subscribers to
the Daily Devotional.  Each week we also see apx 4,000
leave the Daily Devotional.  In well over 80% of the
cases where people unsubscribe, they tell me they don't
agree with what God's Word says on issues like faith in
Christ being the ONLY way to be saved, the sin of
homosexuality, that abortion is murder, that all sex
outside of marriage is a sin, that living together
without being married is not God's plan, and any other
issue you can name.  They make the choice to quit
following Jesus.

(Note:  This is the exact reason so many pastors refuse
to deal with the critical issues of life.  They don't want
to "offend" anyone for fear of losing people in their
church and money in their treasury.  So they compromise
and stay away from the real issues of life and preach a
"feel good," watered down Gospel, being careful to never
talk bout sin.  This "positive mental attitude Gospel"
sounds nice but unless a person accepts the fact they are
a sinner, the Holy Spirit convicts them of their sin,
they repent and ask the Lord to forgive them, and then
invite Him into their heart and life by faith, they are
being duped into believing they are going to heaven by
gutless pastors who are more worried about the applause
( and $$$) of men than the applause of God!)

In today's anchor verses from the 6th Chapter of John's
Gospel, we have the Biblical account of people who were
following Jesus, but after hearing Him preach on an
issue they didn't agree with, "many of his disciples
turned back and no longer followed Him."  In the Book of
Acts we hear of a man who was part of Paul's ministry
named Demas (Colossians 4:14).  We hear of Demas again in
2 Timothy 4 when Paul states, "For Demas, because he
loved this world, has deserted me."  I remember many
years ago preaching a message on Demas and in preparing
that message, literally breaking down in tears reading
that verse in 2 Timothy 4 about Demas turning his back on
the Lord's work to go back into the world.  How sad for
someone to come to the place, for whatever reason, that
they quit Jesus.

*Sadly, every day many pastors and people who are in full-
time service to the Lord make the decision to leave the
ministry.  This is a HUGE issue that is rarely talked
about or discussed.  I will address is soon.

This, of course, brings into play the great theological
debate regarding eternal security.  I am not going to go
into depth on this issue today, though I will soon to
help those who may be confused about what God's Word
teaches regarding if it is possible for someone to lose
their salvation.  You are free to believe whatever you
want about this issue, but the Bible is clear that if
you are truly saved by faith in Christ you will always be
saved.  Choosing to turn your back on the Lord ruins your
joy, robs you of your peace, and causes you to miss the
abundance of this life, but you don't lose your salvation.
Salvation is a product of your faith in Jesus and God's
grace, period.  Nowhere in the Bible does it say that God
withdraws His grace, which by definition is His unmerited
favor, or something you did nothing to earn in the first
place.  The real key to this issue, something only God
knows for certain, is did the person really accept the
Lord into their heart and life by faith to begin with.

The thing I have always loved about Peter was that he was
a very bottom line kind of guy.  He was never shy about
stating his opinion, and more often than not that opinion
was inspired by God Himself.  Here again we see Peter rise
to the occasion when Jesus asked the 12 disciples if they
too were going to leave.  Peter boldly proclaimed, "To
whom shall we go?"  For those of you today who are
discouraged, thinking about quitting, giving up, turning
back, let me ask you the same question Peter did, WHERE
ARE YOU GOING TO GO?

I love you and care about you so much.  You really only
have two options, you stick it out with Jesus or you go to
satan.  There is no other choice.  You either follow Jesus
or you follow satan.  Satan is a liar and his goal is to
kill, steal, and destroy.  By following satan you will
spend all eternity in the Lake of Fire, a place specially
created by God for satan and his fallen angels.  God is
Truth.  God wants you to know His peace and joy and the
abundance of this life.  He loves you unconditionally.  He
sent Jesus to die for your sins so that you could spend
all eternity with Him. As Peter correctly told Jesus, "You
have the words of eternal life."

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that the next
time you get discouraged, the next time you get weary
from fighting life's battles, the next time you start
thinking how things aren't working out the way you
hoped in your life, you will remember the words of Peter,
WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO GO?  The only place to go is to
satan.  Do you really want to go back to the way your life
used to be before you started to follow Jesus?  My friend,
the Lord is your only real hope and your only real answer
for this life and all eternity.  The trials and
tribulations we face are all part of living in this fallen
world infested by sin.  But take comfort today from the
words of Jesus when He told his disciples just hours
before gong to the cross, "Be of good cheer, for I have
overcome this world!"

Even though we don't have the details, I proffer that one
reason Demas turned back to the world and quit serving
the Lord was the attacks that come when you sell out your
very life to serve and follow Jesus.  I told you late
last year when I shared with you the news of the
Liveprayer TV program going nationwide that the attacks
would be at a magnitude like never before.  The temptation
to quit, to give up, to stop following the Lord, all stem
from just wanting some peace from the never-ending attacks
at every level.  However, at some point you have to decide
no matter what, you are going to serve and follow the Lord,
even unto death!  Trust me, many days death would actually
be easier since that means the battles of this life would
be over.

We are into the countdown of the last 70 days until the
Liveprayer TV program goes nationwide.  Satan has come
after me hard on many personal fronts these past 60 days
and I have no doubt they will continue.  He has come
hard after my wife.  Thank you for your prayers, they
mean so much.  We will be setting aside the entire month
of June for prayer and fasting.  Satan knows that there
is NOTHING he can do to stop me.  His attacks only make
me more resolved in the work God has called me to do and
I know He is watching over me and will protect me.

The battle lines, however, have finally been drawn around
one area.....MONEY.  Satan knows that the magnitude of
what we are going to do is something that I can't do
alone.  His only hope in stopping this from becoming a
reality is to attack those who God is calling to help me
financially.

Some people may say, "Who cares if this TV program goes
nationwide or not."  That is a fair question.  Two who
clearly care are God and satan.  God, because He knows
that this instrument can bring thousands, even millions
to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ while bringing
Biblical Truth into the marketplace, and satan, who will
do everything he can to stop a vehicle that has the
audacity to confront him on his turf and expose his lies
to the masses, while literally taking souls heading for
hell on a conveyor belt and rerouting them to Heaven!
This my friend is clearly a battle for the eternal souls
of men.

The only Christian programming that exists are those on
Christian stations and networks where 99% of the audience
are already Christian.  A very few take their typical
preaching/teaching program they air on the Christian
stations and networks and play these pre-recorded tapes
on some secular stations on Sunday morning.  There is NO
"live" daily program on secular television to combat the
false hope merchants like Oprah and Dr. Phil and all the
garbage the secular networks air 24/7.  Nothing that
without compromise sharing Biblical Truth and without
shame telling people that Jesus Christ is the ONLY way.
We have proved in over 3 years that we can compete with
the major network programs, attract primarily viewers who
are not Christians, and bring the Truth of God's Word and
the hope and love of Christ to the lost and hurting masses.

We took a huge step of faith over 3 years ago in launching
this program on UPN in Tampa, the #12 television market in
the nation.  We took another huge step of faith last July
in expanding the program to ABC in Miami, Jacksonville,
West Palm Beach, PAX in Orlando, and the WB in Ft. Myers.
We are now taking the ultimate step of faith in bringing
this program to the entire nation July 3rd on the PAX
(now called ION) Network.  We will be on "live" from
Midnight to 1 a.m. EST every Monday thru Friday night
taking God's Truth into the marketplace and the hope and
love of Christ to literally millions of people who are
simply looking for answers and hope in their life.

Here is where we are at.  I need your prayers and for you
to seek the Lord about what you can do to help me in the
next 70 days.

If I was interested in raising money as some have accused
me, I would simply go to the Christian stations and
networks with the TV program and preach to the choir and
raise millions in donations like many others do.  I would
sell books and tapes to Christians.  I would rent out
stadiums and get churches to bring buses of people who I
can sell products to and get donations from.  I would
have a nice building, a million dollar home, and a great
plane to fly around in.  Actually, if I was really
interested in making money, I would simply go back into
the financial markets, make $500k a year trading, and
live a quiet, peaceful life with my wife.

My friend, I refuse to quit, I refuse to give up, and I
refuse to turn back on God's calling in my life.  I made
the commitment to serve and follow Jesus over 16 years
ago and will do so with my last breath.  God has truly
blessed my life over these years and the work of
Liveprayer these past 80 months.  He has given us the rare
