Have Faith in Times of Trouble

Good morning, Happy Souls!

Bill Keller wrote a devotional today that I
recommend to you.  He has given me permission to
copy his e-mails, and I'm sure he would be happy if
you would share this with people you know as well.

Do you have problems?  Probably.  Most of us do.

Do you ever spend so much time worrying and working
on your problems that you became discouraged?  Go to
God and you'll get the answers you need.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   FRIDAY MARCH 24, 2006
( Romans 8:28, Galatians 6:9 )

Don't give up!  I want to ENCOURAGE YOU today!  I don't
know exactly what you are facing in your life this
moment, I don't know what your problems are, what trials
and tribulations you are experiencing in your life
right now.  But I do know this, everyone reading these
words today is going though something.  No matter what
it is, I want to give you a message right from the
throne room of God...DON'T GIVE UP!!!

I am not going to tell you that all of your problems will
be solved by the time you go to bed tonight, chances are
they won't.  I am not going to tell you that everything
will work out exactly the way you want it to, chances are
they won't.  I am going to tell you, however, that God will
provide the answers to whatever your problems may be.  I am
going to tell you, however, that God will work everything
out.  God promised us in His Word, "..and we know that in
all things God works for the good of those who love him,
who have been called according to his purpose."

God told me to tell you today...DON'T GIVE UP!

If you are battling with an illness in your body today...
DON'T GIVE UP!  If you are battling with your finances
today...DON'T GIVE UP!   If you are battling with your
marriage today...DON'T GIVE UP!  If you are you are
battling with your employment or schooling today...DON'T
GIVE UP!   If you are battling with your children today...
DON'T GIVE UP!   If you are battling with an addiction
today...DON'T GIVE UP!  NO MATTER WHAT YOUR BATTLE IS
TODAY...DON'T GIVE UP!

My friend, God loves you.  He knows what you are going
through in your life today.  He has not abandoned you, He
has not forsaken you.  In your darkest hour you can be
assured that God is right there with you.  When everyone
else has turned their back on you, when everyone else has
run away, when nobody is left to stand with you...GOD IS
STILL THERE!  On the night He was betrayed, Jesus saw His
disciples run from Him, deny even knowing Him, yet He was
never alone because God was with Him.  Even when those you
love the most leave you, Jesus is there because He
promised to "never leave you nor forsake you."

God told me to tell you today...DON'T GIVE UP!

I love you and care about you so much.  I want you to
know that I am standing in the gap for YOU today.  I am
standing with you and believing God for your needs to be
met.  You may not see your answer today, or tomorrow, or
next week, or next month, or even next year.  God's timing
is not our timing, but God's timing is always perfect.  He
is never a second too early, or a second too late. 

DON'T GIVE UP!

The children of Israel would have never seen the Promised
Land had Moses given up.  He wandered in the desert for
forty years...FORTY YEARS!  If God leaves us in the desert
for forty minutes we are complaining!  We can learn from
Moses today that no matter what we are going though in our
life, if we will continue to trust God, keep our faith in
the Lord regardless what the circumstances may be, He will
deliver us and meet our every need.  The key however, is
that you DON'T GIVE UP!

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that the Lord
will give you His peace no matter what you may be facing
in your life at this moment.  Praying that God will give
you His strength today.  Paul wrote to the church at
Galatia to "...not become weary in doing good, for at the
proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." 
As you wait on God to answer your prayers, to meet your
needs, continue to be faithful.  Remember that as we are
about our Father's business, He will be about our business!

God is saying to you  that no matter what you are going
through today...DON'T GIVE UP!!!

"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing
move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the
Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not
in vain."  ( 1 Corinthians 15:58)

Say "No" to satan and "Yes" to God

shouldn't do?  Of course, you're only human. 

Remember to ask what God would want you to choose
before acting on that temptation.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   THURSDAY MARCH 23, 2006
( Genesis 3:6, Proverbs 1:29 )

We can say NO!  Back during the Reagan Presidency, Nancy
Reagan came out with the infamous campaign against drugs,
"Just Say No."  It was simple but powerful since it zeroed
in on the fact that we all have the ability to say "no." 
This ability to say "no" is something the world has always
had a problem with.  The "deny thyself no pleasure" mindset
is not only straight from the pits of hell, but is embraced
and promoted by the media.  We live in a culture that makes
fun of those who say "no," a culture that has told the lie
long enough and loud enough that people have forgotten they
can say NO!

Have you ever been driving down the road and a voice inside
told you to make a sharp left into the car next to you? 
Have you ever been walking in the mall and didn't like the
way the person in front of you looked and you wanted to
tell them so?  Have you ever been in a meeting at work or a
class at school and wanted to start yelling at the top of
your lungs?  I can guarantee you that everyone reading this
today has had some kind of extreme thought to do something
completely bizarre, anti-social, potentially lethal, and
completely out of character.  For however long that
fleeting thought was in your head, quickly your brain said
NO!

Let's forget those extreme thoughts we all have from time
to time.  How about you are out of town on business and are
approached by an attractive person of the opposite sex? 
how about you are working on a deal at work and find a
way to overcharge a client in a way they will never know
about?  How about you are alone at home one evening and
get the desire to go look at porn on your computer or the
TV?  How about being out some night and decide to drive
home even though you have had too much to drink?  Now we
are talking about more realistic choices that most face
in their lives.  As you are presented with these choices,
does your brain say NO?  A more important question, do
you listen if it does?

The vast majority of the over 40,000 prayer requests we
receive each day here at Liveprayer are from people who
didn't say "no."  Again, this prevailing mindset that we
have to give in to every pleasure, every urge, is not
something new.  We see it in the Garden of Eden as Adam
and Eve both refused to say "no" when confronted with the
opportunity to disobey God.  We see it in the very first
sin when satan had the thought to be like God andhe didn't
say "no" to that thought.  Throughout human history man
has had a difficult time saying "no."

Some people have questioned God and why He just didn't
create us to always obey Him.  God created us with the free
will to make our own choices, otherwise, we would be little
more than pre-programmed robots.  I can't tell you why God
created us with free will, the ability to obey Him or rebel
against Him, but one reason I am certain of is that without 
free will we would be incapable of loving God on our own. 
The fact is He is God, our Creator, and we should do our
best each day to honor Him with our lives. That means with
the choices we have to make each and every day.

Throughout each day, we are all confronted with hundreds,
even thousands of choices.  Every time we make a choice we
have the opportunity to say to God, "I love you!"  When you
break it down, that is really what we are saying each time
we make a choice.  We are either saying "I love God," or "I
love myself more than God."  Now listen closely since I am
about to expose a great lie of satan.  Satan says if you
love yourself, don't deny yourself anything.  Don't forget
satan's stated goals, "to kill, steal, and destroy."

Satan wants to help you say "no" to God just like he did
Adam and Eve because he knows your rebellion to God will
hurt you.  I have told you before satan is the great
justifier. He will always help you justify saying "no" to
God.  The truth is, God loves you and only wants the best
for you.  When you say "no" to sin and follow God, you are
not only saying "I love you God," you are also saying you
love yourself.  The lie of satan is that by saying "no"
you are loving yourself when he knows you are actually
hurting yourself, but the truth of God is that when you
say "no" to sin you are not only honoring God but honoring
yourself since our blessings follow our obedience!!!

This is heavy stuff, so please, take a moment and go back
and re-read these last two paragraphs and digest them into
your heart.

I love you and care about you so much.  I know we live in
a world that tells the masses every day to never say "no." 
The world teaches that you only live once so don't ever
deny yourself whatever pleasure comes your way.  Like all
of satan's lies, that is partly true.  We do only live once.
However, not all of the pleasures that comes our way are
something that will help our life, in many cases it can
destroy our life.  That is why it is so critical to start
each day in prayer, in the Word, so that throughout the
day as you are making all of those choices we all make
each day, your choices will honor God.  Often, to honor
God we have to simply say "no."

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that as you go
throughout the rest of this day and are confronted with
the various choices you have to make, when confronted
with sin you will have the courage and the strength to
say "NO!"

Work on Your Relationship with Jesus

DAILY DEVOTIONAL   WEDNESDAY MARCH 22, 2006
( Deuteronomy 14:3, John 1:12, Romans 9:26,
Galatians 3:29 )

Making your relationship with Jesus your own.  Each person
comes to know Christ in their own and unique way.  One of
the biggest problems I deal with each day is people who
have accepted Christ as their Savior, but don't really
have a close, intimate, personal relationship with Him. 
I submit to you today that a large percentage of
Christians, people who are saved and going to Heaven,
look at being a Christian the same way they look at
being part of the Tuesday-night bowling league.  It is
part of their life, it is not their life.

Today, I am going to share with you one of the most
critical Devotionals God has led me to write in nearly
7 years.  For many, it will give you an entirely new
look on what being a Christian really means.  Most of
all, I pray today that for those who read these words,
today will be the day that the "lightbulb goes off," and
you understand that being a Christian is about having a
real and vibrant and personal relationship with Jesus. 
Today, I want to help you learn how to make your
relationship with Jesus, your own.

I am sure many people right now are very puzzled about
what I am talking about, while others are thinking this
is an elementary message.  Yes it is foundational, but it
is also the very essence of what being a follower of
Christ is really all about.  You see, most people get
saved and it is often years later, sadly in many cases
never, that they learn what having a personal
relationship with Jesus is really all about.  Just like
God created each of us in a unique and special way, each
person has their own unique and special relationship
with Jesus.

My friend, you can't have your mother's relationship with
the Lord, you can't have your father's relationship with
the Lord, you can't have your friend's relationship with
the Lord,  you can't have your spouse's relationship with
the Lord,  you can't have your pastor's relationship with
the Lord, YOU HAVE TO HAVE YOUR OWN RELATIONSHIP WITH THE
LORD!  Each person has got to find their own personal
relationship with Christ!!!

This is why discipleship is so critical.  After a person
makes the commitment of their heart and life to the Lord
by faith, it is imperative that they find someone to
mentor them, to guide them in their new-found faith.  A
person who gets saved and is not discipled is no different
than a baby that is born and than left on the floor of the
birthing room.  A person who gets saved has come to that
place in their life where they acknowledge they are a
sinner, that they need a Savior, and that Jesus Christ is
the One who died for their sins.  By putting their faith
and trust in Him, their sins will be forgiven and they
have the promise and assurance that when this brief life
is over they will be with Him forever.

THIS IS AS FAR AS THE VAST MAJORITY OF CHRISTIANS EVER
GET!!!

It is not their fault.  They don't know any better.  All
they know is that once they were lost and now they are
found, that once they were once blind and now they see. 
However, beyond that, unless someone tells them what to
do next, they simply go back to living their life as
before.  Let me add that so many churches are to blame. 
They do a great job of raising millions to build new
buildings, but do virtually NOTHING in bringing the lost
to Christ or discipling new Believers.  Millions of
people sit in the pews of churches all across our nation
every Sunday who have made the commitment to accept
Christ into their heart and life by faith, but have been
frozen at that point in their spiritual growth for 1, 5,
10, even 50 years!!!

Again, it is not their fault.  Their needs to be a
shepherd to lead them.  Someone to teach them how to walk
with Christ.  Someone to teach them how to grow in their
faith.  Someone to guide them how to make their faith
real in their daily life.  Someone to encourage and
challenge them to rise up and be the man or woman of God
they have been called to be.  Jesus said that the people
are like sheep.  Without a shepherd to lead them, the
sheep will simply wander aimlessly and end up lost,
confused, with no direction or purpose.  We have too many
weak and ineffective pastors, so it is no wonder why we
have so many weak and ineffective Christians!

So how do you have a real relationship with Jesus?  First,
you have to realize that your relationship with the Lord
is like any other relationship in your life.  You have to
work at it, you have to commit time, effort, and energy
into it.  You only get out of a relationship what you
put into it. That holds true for your relationship with
the Lord.  To have a meaningful relationship with the
Lord, you MUST spend time with the Lord each day.  You
do that in prayer, talking to Him and letting Him talk
to you.  You do that by reading the Word, another way
the Lord will speak to you.  Remember, the more time and
energy you put into your relationship with the Lord, the
better that relationship will be and the greater part of
your life it will become.

Second, our relationship with the Lord is literally
24/7/365.  What that means is that your relationship with
Christ is continual and part of every second of every day. 
This is a key area many people fail to comprehend. They
treat their relationship with the Lord like their
relationship with their favorite Aunt who you might see
once a week or so.  People go to church for an hour on
Sunday to "be with Jesus," but forget about Him until
the next time they go to church.  When you accept the
Lord as your Savior by faith, you are literally giving
Him your very life.  At the moment you are saved, the
Holy Sprit indwells you and God is literally living in
you.  The Lord has promised to never leave you nor
forsake you, He is with you always.

Lastly, very few people will admit it, so let me say it
for you.  It is weird having a personal, intimate, daily
relationship with someone you can't see!  You can see,
touch, communicate with your parents, your siblings,
your spouse, your friends, but Jesus is invisible. 
Those who mock the Lord and Christians laugh at our
"imaginary friend."  Let me tell you this day that Jesus
is alive and well!  He lives in you and you can feel His
presence in your heart and life just as much as anyone
else you are with.  You CAN talk to Him, and He will
talk to you.  Jesus is real and Jesus is alive!!!

The same Jesus who was born in Bethlehem's manger, the
same Jesus who preached and prophesied and worked
miracles, the same Jesus who gave His life on the cross
for the sins of all mankind, the same Jesus who God
raised from the dead on the third day...IS THE VERY SAME
JESUS THAT IS ALIVE TODAY AND SITTING AT THE RIGHT HAND
OF GOD THE FATHER AND DESIRES TO HAVE A PERSONAL
RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU!!!

I love you and care about you so much.  I want to
encourage you today in your relationship with the Lord. 
It is not a questions of does Jesus want to have a
relationship with you, after all, God created us to have
fellowship with Him, it is a question of do you want to
have a relationship with Jesus.  If you have accepted
Him into your heart and life by faith that means you do
have a relationship with the Lord, an everlasting one. 
Now it is a matter of making that relationship with the
Lord real now during this life, making it your own.

That is why you have to invest the time, effort, and
energy into your relationship with the Lord each day. 
That relationship can be as special as you want to make
it and will grow and become more special to you over
time.  Pray, communicate with the Lord and let Him talk
to you   Read the Bible, and let the Lord speak to you
through His Word.  Never forget that the Lord is
literally with you 24/7/365 and take advantage of His
presence.  Jesus is real, His love for you is real, and
His desire to have a personal, intimate relationship with
you is real.

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that today you
will realize that Jesus loves you and loves you so much
that He died for your sins.  He gave His very life so
you could escape the eternal punishment you deserve. 
How mind boggling is it that this same Jesus wants to
have a personal relationship with YOU!  I pray that you
will take advantage of this incredible opportunity and
begin today to start building that relationship with the
Lord.  As I tell you often, the only thing we will take
from this life into eternity is our relationship with
the Lord.  He will be your friend now and for all
eternity!!!

Serve God to Be a Real Winner

DAILY DEVOTIONAL    TUESDAY MARCH 21, 2006
( Mark 10:43, Deuteronomy 10:12, Hebrews 12:28,
Matthew 5:16 )

Seizing the moment!   Today is one of those messages that
companies spend $100,000 on to bring in the hot
motivational guru of the day to deliver to their employees.
The worst part is, they throw that money down the toilet
since these false-hope merchants deliver nothing but hype
and a New Age philosophy that makes people believe THEY
can do it, when the truth is nothing is possible without
God.  Today, I want to share with you how to be all God
has called you to be in your life, while encouraging you
and challenging you to accomplish more than you ever
thought you could for the Lord as you find that balance
between operating in God's power while doing what you are
responsible for doing to seize the moment.

The first and most important fact to understand is that
there is no failure when you are serving God.  When two
basketball teams play, one wins and one loses.  In a golf
tournament there is only one winner and the rest lose.
We have been conditioned by our culture that you either
win or lose.  The fact is, when you are serving God, you
can't lose.  Let me say that once again since this is
very critical that you understand this....when you serve
God, you can't lose!

Let me give you an example.  The world judges success by
numbers and dollars.  The world would say a church with
5 members and no property or money in the bank is a
failure.  I am here today to tell you that if the heart
of that pastor is to serve God, if he is preaching the
uncompromised Truth of God's Word, if he is equipping his
members to grow in their faith and serve the Lord with
their lives, he and this church are a HUGE success in
God's eyes regardless what the world says.

You see, God sees our heart.  God knows our motives.
When you have a heart that is pure and tender and you
seek to serve and glorify God with your life, you can't
fail.  God will use your sacrifice for His glory even
though you may never see the results of your faithfulness.
I remember many days and nights when I first started in
the ministry over 15 yrs ago.  I preached many times to
3 and 4 people.  As I type these words today, I can
honestly say I preached as hard, gave everything I had to
those 3 and 4 as I have when there were thousands, or
when millions read and hear what God is speaking through
me each day now.

THERE IS NO FAILURE WITH GOD.  YOU CAN'T FAIL WHEN YOU
SERVE GOD!!!

Having established that fact, we are left with the question
of how do we serve God?  What can I do to serve the Lord?
God calls each of us to serve in different areas, in
different ways.  Each child of God has a specific calling
upon their life.  The first step is to realize that as a
Believer you have been called by God and be willing to
serve Him.  That may not seem difficult, but I assure you
that it is.  You see, to serve God, you have got to be
willing to give your life to Him.  You have got to be
willing to lay aside YOUR will for HIS will.  You have got
to be willing to lay aside YOUR desires for HIS desires.
You have got to be willing to unconditionally give your
life and all that you have completely to the Lord.

Believe it or not, this is the place most Christians get
stuck.  They want to serve God, they want their life to
count for Christ, but the fact is they really aren't
willing to give up their life for Him.  Everyone wants
to be blessed, but few are willing to pay the price to
be blessed.  Better say that again.  Everyone wants to
be blessed, but few are willing to pay the price to be
blessed.  The price I am talking about is obedience.
God blesses our obedience, not our rebellion.  We all
want God's blessings in our life, but sadly, most aren't
willing to pay the price, obedience, to receive those
blessings.

The same is true with our service to the Lord.  I
believe most Christians want to serve God, but sadly,
most aren't willing to pay the price to serve Him.
Very few will be called to sell everything and move to
some jungle in Africa, or called to quit your job and go
work in some ministry, or spend your free time ministering
to AIDS patients.  God COULD call you to do any of those
things, but the chances are He won't.  Most people end up
serving God right where they are at.

God put you in the neighborhood you live in, in the job
you have, in the school you go to, meeting the people you
do in the course of your life...TO SERVE HIM!  Your most
basic form of service is simply being His light, His
ambassador, to the people you meet and interact with in
the course of your day-to-day life.  The most basic form
of service that most FAIL to perform, is simply being
His witness to the people who God brings into your life
each day.

Remember I told you that you can't fail when you serve
God?  The only way you can fail is to NOT serve God!!!

After that basic level of service, each Believer is
called to a more focused and specialized form of serving
the Lord.  This usually lines up with how God has wired
an individual, what their passions and gifts are.  The
key is to get involved in some form in serving Him, and
over time God will guide you, open and close doors to
have you right where He wants you to be and doing exactly
what He wants you to be doing.  Because He has given you
the gifts you will be able to do it, and because He has
given you the passion you will want to do it.

This next level of service will become part of your life.
You will still have your job or go to school, you will
still have your family responsibilities, you will still
have your own personal relationship with the Lord, you
will still have your hobbies and interests, but serving
the Lord will also become part of your daily life and
who you are as a follower of Jesus Christ.  This seems
petty basic but the reality is, most Believers don't
serve God in ANY capacity which is why Jesus said that
"the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few."

I love you and care about you so much.  I can't even begin
to talk to you about "seizing the moment" until I get you
to understand that service is not an option but a
requirement for the child of God.  Nobody ever threw a
touchdown pass, or sank a basket, or made a putt from
the stands.   You have to be on the field, in the game.
As we live in these last days of human history, with
the return of our Lord imminent, God needs ALL of His
children serving Him with all they have each day.

Jesus shared many parables, especially near the end of
His life about the servant being faithful to the master,
about being a good steward of what we have been given,
about being prepared for the master to return.  There
was this emphasis by our Lord to teach the people, to
encourage the people, to challenge the people to seize
the moment.  The men and women we read about in God's
Word, the men and women throughout the history of the
church whose names are forever etched in history, are
all people who were first and foremost servants of God,
but second of all, men and women who SEIZED THE MOMENT!

God is speaking to you today about giving up your very
life to serve Him.  He is calling you today to
unconditionally surrender to Him so that He can use your
life to fulfill His plan and purpose.  Before you can
seize the moment, you have to be on the battlefield
serving Him with your very life.  As you make that
sacrifice, God will guide you, use you, and bring
opportunities your way to use your life to bring honor
and glory to Him.  In the course of your service, there
will come those sentinel moments when God raises you up,
calls you forth, and gives you the opportunity to make
your life count in a significant way for all eternity.

NOTHING YOU WILL EVER DO IN THIS LIFE WILL MATTER FOR ALL
ETERNITY EXCEPT THOSE THINGS YOU DO FOR JESUS!

I am praying for you today.  Praying that you will receive
this word today and take some time to read it over and over
and mediate on it.  I pray that you will step up and answer
God's call to serve Him.  Serve Him in your daily life by
being His witness to others you meet along your journey,
serve Him by finding avenues of service that God will open
up for you, and then be faithful as your life becomes a
living sacrifice.

In the course of serving the Lord, there will come
those precious moments when God will allow you to use
your life to make an impact for all eternity.  Never
forget, there is no failure when you serve God.  SEIZE
THE MOMENT!!!

Good morning, Happy Souls!

Bill Keller wrote a devotional today that I
recommend to you.  He has given me permission to
copy his e-mails, and I'm sure he would be happy if
you would share this with people you know as well.

DAILY DEVOTIONAL    SUNDAY MARCH 19, 2006
(Matthew 5:28, Colossians 3:5, 1 John 2:16)

***ONE OF THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE FORCES TO MARRIAGES,
FAMILIES, AND INDIVIDUAL LIVES IN OUR WORLD TODAY IS
INTERNET PORNOGRAPHY.  IT IS A WORLDWIDE PROBLEM THAT
AFFECTS MEN AND WOMEN EQUALLY.  THIS MESSAGE TODAY
SHINES A BRIGHT SPOTLIGHT ON THIS ISSUE SOCIETY REFUSES
TO DEAL WITH, AND COULD DELIVER SOMEONE, EVEN YOU, FROM
THE GRIPS OF THIS BONDAGE.

Internet pornography.  In one of today's anchor verses
from Matthew's Gospel, Jesus said, "But I tell you that
anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already
committed adultery with her in his heart."  A few months
ago, famed Criminal Defense Attorney Johnnie Cochran
passed away from a brain tumor. Cochran who will always
be remembered as the architect of the defense team that
got O.J. Simpson acquitted of double murder was as
talented a lawyer as there ever was.  However, even the
great Johnnie Cochran could not get you found "not
guilty" of adultery if you are looking at pornography on
the Internet.  There is no difference in the eyes of God
if you meet someone who is not your spouse and have sex
with them in a motel room, or if you sit in front of
your computer and lust after the images of someone who
is not your spouse.

Some people may not think Internet porn is a big deal.
Let me assure you that it is a VERY BIG DEAL.  Sadly, I
get to see the destroyed lives, the broken marriages,
the damaged children from pornography every single day.
A myth is that porn is a male problem.  That may have
been the case in the past, but I can assure you that 50%
of the people I deal with daily in bondage to porn are
women.

PORNOGRAPHY DESTROYS LIVES!  It is not harmless
entertainment.  It causes people to lust which is a sin.
It destroys a person's sexual life as God intended it to
be.  It leads people into bondage.  It progresses from
voyeurism to actually living out deviant sexual acts in
real life.  Pornography ruins marriages, ruins a person's
ability to have a normal, healthy relationship with
someone who they may actually fall in love with and marry,
and worst of all it damages a person's relationship with
God.  Porn is a tool satan uses very effectively to "kill,
steal, and destroy" human lives!

The fact is, pornography on the Internet could be
virtually wiped out and eliminated IF there was a real
desire to do so.  Right now, the only technological tool
to fight Internet porn is filtering.  Filtering does
NOT work no matter what the claims those who offer it
want to make.  It either filters too much content or not
enough.  As soon as a new filter is offered, in hours
the porn industry has found ways around it.  In addition,
most junior high school children can get around any
filter if they want to.  Filtering is as effective as 5
sandbags are in trying to stop a flood.

So how could porn be virtually wiped out and eliminated
from the Internet?  You go after the MONEY!  Internet
porn is a billion dollar a year industry.  Cut off the
money, and it ceases to exist.  When someone buys porn
on the Internet the money flows through the banking
system, mostly through credit cards.  That money
ultimately ends up in someone's bank account.  If credit
card companies quit processing porn transactions, if
banks quit accepting money from credit card clearing
companies that handle pornography business, if the
government began doing serious investigations into the
people and companies who own the accounts the porn money
ends up in, you could put a HUGE dent in the Internet
pornography business overnight.

The other way to shut down Internet porn is by companies
that supply bandwidth, refusing to sell the bandwidth
needed to those businesses that are putting pornography
on the Internet.  Also, individual Internet Service
Providers (ISPs) like AOL, Roadrunner, Earthlink, Yahoo,
MSN, or whichever company you use, could block any
domain that provided pornographic material.

Now some of you may be saying, if it is that easy why
doesn't it happen.  That is a simple answer, MONEY.
Again, Internet porn is a BILLION DOLLAR industry.  It
is HUGE business for the credit card companies.  It is
HUGE business for the banks.  It is HUGE business for
the companies that sell bandwidth.  It is HUGE business
for the ISPs.  I can guarantee you that as easy as it
would be to virtually eliminate all pornography from the
Internet overnight, it will NEVER HAPPEN because there
are too many people making too much money from it!!!

The other avenue to fight this battle is legally.  The
problem there however is gutless politicians with no
desire to take on the pornography industry. Larry Flynt
and other powerful people in the porn business have shown
in the past a willingness to go after any politician that
opposes them, not to mention the fact that the porn
industry gives lots of money to politicians.

Sadly, going after the entire pornography industry that
will take in over 10 billion known dollars this year has
not been a priority of the Bush Administration or of the
Attorney General.  Factor in liberal judges around the
country that will give the pornographers favorable rulings
when cases are brought to court, as well as the fact that
40% of Internet porn originates from other countries, and
the chance to stop Internet porn through the legal system
is simply a dream.

I love you and care about you so much.  Let me tell you
this, Liveprayer will be illegal on the Internet before
pornography is!  So what is the answer?  For parents,
you have got to understand that using the Internet as a
babysitter is like allowing your child to play in the
middle of a busy freeway during rush hour.  It is simply
an accident waiting to happen.

You MUST be diligent and monitor what sites your child
visits, monitor who they chat with, and sit them down and
have open and honest conversations with them about the
dangers of the Internet.  Talk to them about pornography
and why it is a sin.  Talk to them about being careful of
who they may "meet" in chatrooms.  The better they are
trained on the dangers of the Internet, the better
equipped they will be when faced with those dangers.

As for adults who struggle with a bondage to pornography,
it is a battle like any other.  You have got to first be
willing to admit you have a problem, and then turn to
the Lord to find the strength and plan to get victory
over your bondage.  This may be a wake up call for many
who have this problem in your life today.  Listen to me,
IT IS NO ACCIDENT YOU ARE READING THIS TODAY, GOD IS
SPEAKING TO YOU, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET VICTORY OVER
THIS BATTLE WITH PORN ONCE AND FOR ALL BEFORE IT DESTROYS
YOUR LIFE!

I will be praying for you today.  Praying that you
realize what a huge problem Internet pornography is.
Sadly, because it is such a huge industry the things that
could be done to shut it down will never be done, both
from the technical and legal side.  That is sad because
that only means it will continue to be a growing problem
we will have to deal with in our nation.

Now more than ever, the church has got to get serious
about this issue.  We have got to reach out to those in
bondage to porn and help them find deliverance through
Christ.  We have got to continue to warn parents of
this danger so they can train their children to be aware
of this trap that can destroy their lives.  Ultimately,
we have got to continue to share with this lost and
hurting world the fact that Jesus Christ, and Jesus
Christ alone is the answer.  Whatever momentary
satisfaction may be found in porn, it cannot compare to
the true joy that comes from Christ.

The business world is not going to fight this battle, the
politicians are not going to fight this battle, it is up
to the people of God to fight this battle!!!
